a note from Daryush
Thank you for all the years of remembering my birthday, this letter has been in the process of being sent for many years now. Your philosophy has stuck with me to this day, I can still picture you telling me never to quit. Looking back and analyzing it"s clear that my attitude towards school, work, sports and relationshops are affected by my upbringing. More importantly it was that never quit attittude that helped me graduate from CSUN and get a good job right out of college.
I had the opportunity to look at your website and found it amazing how many lives were affected by you. You are a pillar in the Iranian community and I am very proud of that.
Please feel free to call me anytime, I work right up the street at the Warner Center. I would love to catch up over lunch sometime.

This is what I mean. This is what it is all about. I have, over the past 15 summers, witnessed visits by past students and read their letters on the website, as they pay tribute to our Master Instructor. They come back. They always come back. Even if we don"t see them, they remember, and in that way they come back. He has made such an impact on their lives. They visit with their spouses, sometimes their children. But always with their thanks for pointing them toward their goals, toward their dreams. By opening the door. It is always great to see them. And then I realize that it goes for me too. I owe him so much grattitude as well. So, who else will stop by THIS summer, either in person, in a letter, or in a thought? There will be plenty, I know. There always are. Each year at this time, when they are out of school or on vacation, and think of what has been important to them and who influenced their lives. I"m just fortunate to be here to thank him daily. For the class, for the seminar, for the guidance. Thank you for opening the door, Sir. Since 1982. And it continues.
Respectfully,
Bill
