10/17/2008 10:56:55 AM "I intend"...no, that"s not right. At this point of my life, it"s "I will". There is too much at stake now, and there"s too many people relying on me, for me to only intend to do something. "I will" be the best husband, father, boss, friend and student I can be. I cannot and will not make the same mistakes I made in my youth. I"ll use my life"s experience to help me make the right choices from here on out.
I will be the best husband I can be for my wonderful wife, who absolutely deserves my entire heart and soul. She is the engine that drives our family. Without her, I am but a shell of a man. Without her holding down the fort, while I"m away chasing down my life long dream, my journey to Black Belt Excellence would not be possible. She is more than I ever could have hoped for and I am blessed to have her as my wife and the mother of my children.
I will be the best father I can be for my three beautiful daughters, Lauren, Lindsey and Emily. I will be loving and supportive, patient and understanding, yet firm and unyielding in matters of morality and character. I will encourage my youngest two daughters to follow Lauren and myself into the Martial Arts to set upon their own Journeys to BBE.
I will be the best boss I can be for my crew and my department. I will continue to earn their respect every day, and to help them be the best that they can be as well.
I will be the best friend I can possibly be by always depositing my share in to our mutual emotional bank accounts. I will be honest, loyal, and trustworthy to my old and new friends.
I will be the best student I can be, and represent Team Karate Centers with honor and dignity. I will listen to and learn from my instructors without pause or reservations. I will trust that they have my best interests in mind and I will follow their program to a T. I will be an active member whenever possible within the TKC community and in other outside endeavors as well. As time goes by, I hope to become an Instructor, and to follow in the foot steps of my respected mentors.
I will take care of my health and continue on my Journey to Black Belt Excellence all the days of my life.
I will.

|
7/2/2008 4:10:14 PM I will live up to my full potential. Never to slack off or give up when things get in the way. Once I learn to work around them I will have the key to being successful.
My Primary Aim
In two years I am aiming to have earned my black belt and be striving for straight As as a junior in high school. I dont think that both of these goals will be easy, but I know that if I want it enough and I work hard, I can achieve it. I also want to be involved in S.W.A.T. because I feel that it will bring me one step closer to my main goal in life which I will explain later. And lastly, I will of course I will be applying to colleges so that I can get a degree in business. I think that USC, CSUN or any colleges close by would be my best choice. I used to want to go to colleges out east but my only reason I wanted to go to school out there was because I liked the location. I had no idea what I wanted to major in and that was my first mistake. But luckily I started karate and found that it was my true calling. I am a hard worker and when there is something that is needed to be done to achieve my dream; I will do whatever is needed to be done to get it, within reason of course.
In fie years I will be in college getting my business degree and either have achieved my second degree, or working hard to earn it. I will be spending most of my time at the studio. I would like to be an instructor because the next best thing to mastering something you were taught is to teach it to someone else and seeing them master it too. I want martial arts to be my lifestyle, not just a hobby.
Seven years from now I will be going for my masters in business and building up my martial arts career. If Masters Fariborz ever decides to branch out I would more than gladly want to be a part of that process. If that plan never occurs I would love to own my own studio one day. The reason I want to major in business is because I want to understand how to run my own studio or help run one without knowing the basics of how a business functions and doesnt fall apart.
In ten years I would like to be either married or a newlywed with my karate dreams still on track. I will be living in a beautiful house on a nice, quiet street in a pleasant area. I will be striving for my third degree if I havent already achieved it by thin. Within the next five years after that I will probably begin a new a new martial arts style while still continuing with Hapkido. By now I want to have two kids and of course happily married.
Twenty years from now I want to be settled with my job whether its having my own studio or managing one. I want to travel all over the world because I feel that part of understanding the world around you is actually seeing it and experiencing what it has to offer.
In thirty years from now my goals arent going to change drastically in any way. Karate will always be on my mind. Of course by now I have been teaching my kids karate hoping that they have a love for it too. If not, I could be a soccer mom too or something to that effect. Ive always known that I will be an involved parent. Always providing them with what they need and more.
When I am sixty-five, I am going to still be going. I may slow down a bit but I wont nearly be ready to retire. I will still travel until I see as much of the world as possible before I leave because I never want to waste an experience or an opportunity that could have displayed itself because I never went out and explored.

6/19/2008 2:11:08 PM MISSION STATEMENT I will strive to condition myself mentally, physically and emotionally. I will be true and honest to myself and others around me. I will be a kind and caring friend to all those that will allow me to do so. PRIMARY AIM Two years from now, I hope to be testing for my black belt. My oldest daughter Hayley will be 15 years old and in the 9th grade. My stepson Chris will be 12 years old and in the 7th grade, he too will be following in my foot steps and testing for his black belt. My son Brandon will be 10 years old and will be in 4th. Finally my daughter Jessika will be 5 years old and just starting school in Kindergarten. I am working toward a debt free future and getting my own business started. I want our family to be comfortable financially in years to come. I want to take the time to learn more areas of my job to allow me the opportunity of advancement. I will aim to become healthy and physically fit so that I may live to see my children have children. Five years from now, I plan to be working toward receiving my 2nd degree black belt. I hope to have my own profitable business and/or be in a higher position at my current place of business. I want to assist my mother in the business opportunity that she may acquire. My daughter Hayley will be graduating from High School, and hopes to attend a university, while my younger daughter will be graduating elementary school. I will have become debt free and possibly be making more money. My wife and I will finally be able to take vacations and travel with our children, so they can see other parts of the world. Seven years from now, Hayley will be attending college and working towards her career. Chris will be graduating High School and will hopefully go on to college. Brandon will be starting High School and wants to play for El Camino Reals baseball team. Jessika will be attending Junior High School and hopes to play softball. I will continue to be the best husband and father I can be, and to be support them in all their endeavors. We will be financially secure and my business will be successful. I will be working toward my 3rd degree black belt and receiving it as well. Ten years from now, I will be 48(wow). As long as my body allows, I will still be pushing to advance my physical and mental health. I am uncertain of what degree I will be working towards or if maybe I will be able to open my own Karate Studio on behalf of TKC, to show the gratitude that they have bestowed upon me. Regardless of what I will be doing at this point of my life, I will always push myself and work hard to achieve the goals that I have set for myself. Brandon will be graduating from High School and will hopefully attend college. Hayley will have moved on with her life and career, and Chris, Brandon, and Jessika will still be attending school. I hope and pray that everyone is happy and healthy. Fifteen years from now, I hope to be still healthy enough to continue with my martial arts, whether it be performing or teaching. Jessika will be graduating High School and going off to college. By this time my wife and I will probably have grand children. I hope to have bought another house and to also keep the house we live in now, since I grew up in this house. I want our children to have the opportunity for their children to grow up in these homes, and to share the memories with them, like my parents did with me. I really want our family to continue to be close and spend as much time with kids and grand kids especially during the holidays. Twenty, thirty, forty even fifty years from now, I hope to be here with my wife and family. I would have liked to have continued my martial arts, but lets be real it depends on my health. I think it will be great to be able to teach my grand kids what I have learned. My children will be grown with careers and family of their own. My wife and I will now have the time to enjoy each other again and we will retire and grow old together. We will enjoy the time we have left spending it with our kids and grand kids and live happily ever after.

Mission Statement
I will live each day as if it my last day on Earth as I am not guaranteed tomorrow.
I will to be the best wife and friend to Rick by continuing our open communication and being supportive of his ideas and goals in life.
I will be the best mom and role model for Kaitlin by giving her love, support and guidance.
I will continue to be mentally and physically fit by training my mind by reading and my body by working out in karate and surfing.
I will love God with all my mind, body and spirit and love my neighbor as I love myself.
Marriage
Always Continue to be open and to communicate with my husband on a daily basis regardless of the issues at hand. Show my love and appreciation for him daily. Support him in his goals in life like he supports me in mine and ours. Continue to make the time for us to ensure that our love and affection will remain strong for each other. Always communicate with each other about the guidance that we give Kaitlin to ensure that we are both on the same page so that we raise her with great morals and strong values, both work and ethic.
Kaitlin:
Always Continue to be open and to communicate with our daughter on a daily basis regardless of the issues at hand so that she always feels safe about coming to us with any issues that she may be facing. Ensure that she is healthy by feeding her well-balanced meals; let her participate in sports and supporting her in her goals in life. Continue to instill a strong value system so that she has a strong foundation when faced with difficult and challenging decisions.
Martial Arts:
In my karate journey, I will continue to live Black Belt Excellence. I have the character and the ethics to live Black Belt Excellence and I am constantly striving to gain more knowledge and technique in all aspects of my life to complete the journey. I will live the Student Creed:
To build true confidence through knowledge in the mind, honesty in the heart and strength in the body. To keep friendship with one another and build a strong and happy community. Never fight to achieve selfish end, but to develop might for right.
I will also follow the Student Mission statement so I can live my life in a positive environment, which will serve as a role model for Kaitlin.

4/26/2008 6:35:23 AM My purpose is to express my will to work hard, to have confidence in
myself. To have positive thinking by standing up every time I fall, and
trying again. By knowing I can achieve everything I set my mind to, and by
finding the good in both the pleasure and punishment. To receive my second
degree black belt, and to be successful in real estate, get in, really
good physical shape.
Goals for My Future
One Year
To truly earn my second degree black belt. To look back on my journey
with no regrets; not wishing I had done better, because I will already
have given my best effort.
As an employee in an Insurance Agency, I only have a property and
casualty license, but I would also like to test for my life insurance
license.
To get into better physical shape. It is important at my age to make sure
you get a lot of exercise. Also at my age, doing exercise should be done
with more caution. I should work out but not to the excessiveness of
injuring my knees or my back. As I am on the border of diabetes, I need to
watch what I eat, and also get in a lot of exercise.
Two Years
Open an office for my insurance and real estate business. Ive always
dreamed about opening one, and I believe it is time to make this dream
into a reality.
I want to be successful in my business because this is a very important
year for me. I need to make more money because I need to send my daughter
to University.
I would like to visit my mother country. I was born in Iran, and when I
was 22 I moved to Germany, and then came to the United States where I met
my wife and made our lives here in California. Ever since then, I have
never re-visited Iran. It will be 28 years since I saw any of my family
and friends. My children have never been to Iran, and since my daughter
will be busy with University soon, it is my plan to take a trip to Iran
with my family this summer.
Five Years
Continue to be successful in my business, because I will have to send my
son to University.
To buy a new house in Calabasas.
Six Years
To spend more time with my family.
To begin taking more vacations and going out with my wife, since both our
children will be in University.
|
|
4/26/2008 6:32:56 AM My mission statement for my 3rd degree is to train as much
as I can with the time I have to become stonger in every aspect of my
life.
I will train physically, mentally and emotionally so that I can be a
better mother, wife, daughter and friend.
I will have ballance....

3/9/2008 8:50:53 AM My mission statement is about my life. When I was a little girl I was
living in New York City and when I turned 2 years old I moved to Toronto,
Canada because my fathers whole family lived there. Then when I was 5, I
moved to Los Angeles, California and have been living here since then.
I like my life so far because I have alot of fun in it. I love going to
camp during the summer and I like visiting family members, my grandparents
in Princeton New Jersey because I see them at least once or twice a year.
In my life I Iwent through alot of endurance and skill. When I started
karate it was fun and then I saw all the black belts walking around and I
said "mommy I want that belt it is cool" Then my mommy said you have to
earn it by your self. Now I am testing for it and I am happy.
My one thing is to always keep my friends from other school because
recently I just moved schools and I left my friends and I never fight with
them either so that is great and now I made new friends and I miss my
other ones so much because they are not the same, but I still visit my
school. One reason I do that is to se my BFF Samira Simmons she is the
funniest girl I know and both of us together makes a pretty helarious
team.
The one thing I don"t like in my life is my parents not letting me sleep
over my friends house but I can sleep over at the karate because my
parents thinks it is very safe there but I have lots of fun when my
friends sleep over my house.
The worst thing I went through was me getting bad grades in 6th and half
of 7th grade and then my mom moved me to a new school. I pulled my grades
up big time. My attitude changed a lot in my new school since February. I
am doing much better in school.
That is my mission statement.
|
|
3/9/2008 8:31:41 AM My purpose is to express my perseverance, positive outlook on life, and
passion for things I believe in by completing everything I commit to, by
staying happy and confident no matter the situation, and by staying by my
beliefs to spend more time studying and doing homework, play guitar
better, and practice karate more by October 16, 2008.
|
|
3/9/2008 8:20:51 AM I will try my best at anything that can improve me. I will be honest even if it means losing something. I will not give up just because something is difficult. I will look for the best in every situation and try to improve the bad part. I will try my best. I will do my best to be an involved, working, purposeful member of society.
|
|
3/9/2008 8:13:38 AM I will live everyday to its fullest. I will appreciate all I
have, and all that I am given. To understand the importance of trying my
best. To see each moment as an opportunity. I will learn from the past,
plan for the future, and live in the present. I will work toward
accomplishing goals, and strive to become the best person I can be.
|
|
3/9/2008 8:05:14 AM My purpose is to express my desire to always keep family as #1 priority, to always be happy and not let negative energy into my life, to succeed and accomplish my goals by always keeping focus on milestones I must achieve to reach the end result, always keeping a positive outlook towards the future, and blocking out any negative forces that I may encounter. My goals this year are to continue my journey as a martial artist and obtain my 3rd degree black belt, receive a grade promotion at work, travel more with my family, and earn at least $100,000.00
|
|
3/9/2008 7:25:30 AM My mission statement is an easy one. Whenever I leave an area or any kind of encounter with man or animal, I want to have left a positive impact on the environment and the life that I encountered.
|
|
3/9/2008 7:20:21 AM I will love the Lord my God with all my heart, and with all my soul, and with all my mind, and with all my strength.
I will love my neighbor as myself.
|
|
3/9/2008 7:19:26 AM My purpose is to believe in Black Belt Excellence by being a good role model for my fellow team and peers, strive to be the best by practicing as much as I can, and be Elite by taking everything to the next level to earn my 3rd degree.
|
|
3/9/2008 7:12:01 AM My personal mission statement is to be the best, strive for excellence, and take chances. These are ways which will allow me to reach any goals that I set my mind to. By staying truthful and loving will allow me to become closer to the ones I love. Nothing is more important to me than achieving my goals and spending time with the ones close to my heart. Life is too short, regret nothing.

3/8/2008 8:26:17 AM Each day I will awake with a motivation to live life and explore the day.
What I learn from exploring each day will help shape my destiny and my
beliefs. I will believe in myself and my identity. My behavior will be
consistent with my identity. To identify with gratitude, generosity,
patience, meditation, and a positive attitude of growth and respect for
all. To ever increase physical skills and coordination mindful of skill
not strength. Using the power of visualization to turn negative thinking
into positive energy and to empower myself to make the right moves at the
right time.

In a statement of my lifes mission, I must cover the physical, mental,
emotional and spiritual areas of my life. These four essential parts of my
nature can also be listed as body, mind, heart and spirit. In addition, my
personal relationships and financial status would be included. Integrated
together, a plan for success is created. Approaching my life with vision through
set goals, tempering my actions through discipline, utilizing the motivation of
a positive attitude as well as my passions and always with a strong conscience
as my guide, a life of many positive successes can follow.
Category Plans
Physical:
To maintain the healthy physical condition I enjoy today through continued
exercise, healthy diet, and regular participation in my martial arts schools
programs, those of Team Karate Centers. Enhanced by the following:
6 months:
Gain 40 pounds of healthy weight. My current program of regular weight training
will take me to 185 pounds. I have gained 7 pounds since starting. Extra weight
that comes with it will aid me in my grappling training. The gain in strength is
useful in my home improvement projects, as I do all of my own work.
To achieve Third Degree Black Belt with excellence, meaning that I put forth
maximum effort to become a new person of goals achieved, not simply a pretty new
belt to hold my uniform on. I get a gallon of milk from the supermarket. I
become a Black Belt.
1 year:
Certify to SCUBA.
Reach 200 pounds.
Continue my martial arts training to a higher level of skill in all areas.
10 years and beyond:
Continue in my martial arts training with a focus on always improving on my
skills. Take trapeze lessons.
Mental:
Matching my mental improvements to that of my physical.
6 months:
Read a new book each month.
Subscribe to cable TV again to learn from The History Channel and other
educational sources.
1 year:
Continue reading and viewing quality TV. Study basic Calculus and Trigonometry,
which I did not cover in school.
10 years and beyond:
Visit England, Czechoslovakia and Germany, my ancestors homes, to learn about
myself through experiencing their homeland.
Emotional:
Bringing my heart, my passions, that which I most care for, to light.
6 months:
Practice playing my French Horn on a regular basis, perhaps twice a week for
half an hour at each sitting. It was a joy that got me through difficult high
school and college years, and brought with it wonderful memories and a life-long
friend.
Develop a personal relationship of companionship which I lack in my life at
present.
1 year:
Continue to experience the thrill that comes with training in Hapkido-Blend, as
well as sharing my martial art with others, especially children.
Volunteer twice a month at the Dobes And Little Paws dog rescue in Fillmore. The
satisfaction that comes is not explainable here, it is so great.
10 years and beyond:
Be a family man in the way that goes beyond caring for two sweet Dobermans.
Spiritual:
Guide my ways of living by keeping a conscience that is directed by prayer and
positive life lessons. Ask if my goals match my talents. Am I passionate and
what does my conscience have to say?
6 months:
Review my choices in the physical, mental and emotional to judge their
compatibility with one another, as well as their moral status. Adjust them for a
healthy balance in all ways, not just the physical.
1 year:
Continue to judge whether these three main areas of my life, in particular that
of my emotions, my passions, tap into the guidance of my conscience.
10 years and beyond:
By now my life choices have been reviewed and adjusted. I would now share
lessons learned with others, mostly students of Team Karate Centers, on how to
best achieve success in their lives as well.
