"What if you took your

Welcome to Team Karate Centers |
What others have said about our program...
Junior Program (Ages 5-12)
Your child is not 5 yet? No problem, contact us for our great Little Ninjas Karate program.
We at Team Karate Centers are very concerned with the well being and education
of our children. We understand that younger students have a shorter attention
span. Our unique children's program uses interesting and enjoyable methods to
keep the student's attention and teach our young students skills that they can
use for life. We promote non-violent resolutions to conflict. Our methods help
children explore and understand conflict through role-play and other exercises.
More than any other sport, Karate gives our children the chance to explore their
innate powers. Marvel as they increase in strength, flexibility, endurance,
balance, and harmony. This is only the start. Physical skills act as a
foundation for something much more important: the development of value skills,
both mental and spiritual.
Please click on play button (bottom left) to view the short video clip.
Courage
Our students find the courage to move outside of their comfort zone. They will
themselves to take on more difficult karate moves and skills. They suddenly see
their lives as a constant, never-ending journey of life-giving improvement. In
short, with a deep breath, they refuse to become a victim of fate. They learn to
create their own destiny.
Staying Power
Our students find joy in improving their physical stamina. They can walk
farther, run longer, and practice skills until they get them right. In turn,
they learn not to give up. They strive harder and longer to reach goals. Even if
at first they fail, they persevere. They won't let self-doubts get in the way of
finding ultimate solutions.
Keener Focus
They learn to make eye contact with teachers (and not just in karate). They pay
greater attention to what each teacher says.

Powerful Self-Control
They'll refuse to give in to negative peer pressure and they'll gain a deeper
respect for rules.
Improved Focus
They'll learn what's needed, along with the skill to "zero in" on
critical tasks at hand. Normal, yet time-wasting, childhood distractions won't
get in the way.
Fearless Self-Confidence
Watch as your child finds the courage to open any door life has to offer.
Towering Role-Model Teachers
As you might guess, all of this couldn't have happened unless we had the very
best teachers. To make sure we have the very best, each of our teachers have
years of experience in our system and has been thoroughly trained in positive
teaching methods.
Respect
Through the TKC method of martial arts instruction, your children will learn
philosophy and customs to build superior relationships based on friendship and
mutual respect. "To get respect one must first give respect"
Discipline
Our students learn to develop self-control, self-motivation and perseverance
through martial arts discipline.
Goal Setting
Setting goals is the "road map" of life. It has been said that "If you fail to
plan, you are planning to fail." On the road towards a Black Belt, the TKC's
student gains the experience and motivation for success by earning progressively
higher belt ranks. Success is the reward for goal setting.

Self-Defense
And of course they will learn effective and powerful self-defense skills, (after
all, we are a Karate School), as well as the fundamental attitudes appropriate
to those tools. The basic attitudes of a successful martial artist, and a
successful person, are confidence, respect, discipline, goal setting and
effective leadership.
Black Belt Excellence
Our goal for every student is to help them earn their Black Belt not only in
martial arts, but in life! By working toward this goal we create an
instructional environment in which individual students develop confidence by
accomplishing realistic and attainable goals.

Our formula is simple...

If that seems too easy, it's not! You see, by teaching children self-discipline
and self-defense, children become empowered with the two most important tools
they need to build confidence. With confidence, children will succeed and find
happiness in life.
Let's take a closer look
Self-Discipline
We begin with self-discipline.
We help our children develop self-discipline through our unique 3-step process.
Step 1 Understanding it - Through
class discussions and stories our instructors teach our children the meaning and
benefit of having self-discipline.
Step 2 Practicing it - During
classes, our instructors help children to face and overcome challenges, soon
they start to discipline themselves and begin to achieve on their own.
Step 3 Applying it - Once our
children successfully develop self-discipline in our school they begin to use it
on the outside in everything thing they do, such as school and sports.
The truth is, self-discipline is the key to success because if you never quit
you will eventually cross the finish line, just like in the story of the
Tortoise and the Hare.
Self-Defense
While teaching self-discipline, we also teach our children the art of
self-defense. Never undervalue this important life skill. Children today face
more bullies and negative peer pressure to take drugs and alcohol then at any
time in our history.
This is why at TKC, we teach a realistic self-defense system that combines
karate, kickboxing and submission grappling, so children learn to defend
themselves in virtually any situation, whether they are standing up or on the
ground. They also learn conflict resolution and when they should and shouldn't
use their skills.
Studies have shown that...
Children who learn self-defense become more
assertive and less aggressive.
Children who know how to defend themselves usually don't have to, because they
carry themselves in a more confident manner, and confidence alone is a deterrent
to bullies
When you combine Self-Discipline + Self-Defense, you get
Self-Confidence
Being Self-confident means - your child believing in himself / herself.
This is easy to do when your child has
The self-discipline to achieve goals
The self-defense skills to back him / her up so he / she doesn't have to feel
intimidated to stand up for what he / she believes.
Healthy Body - Healthy Mind
Television, Soft drinks, Video Games, and Fast Food
These are just a few of the challenges children face today. Combine these with a
decrease in school gym classes, it's easy to see why weight problems and obesity
among children have more than doubled in our country in the last twenty years.
At TKC, we help children develop a healthy mind and body, so they have the
energy and fitness to face life's challenges, and succeed.
Serious Stuff?
If this sounds like serious stuff, don't worry! Our children's classes are taught
in a safe, fun and exciting environment, where students are not compared to each
other, but rather progress at their own pace. The competition is "from oneself
to oneself".
Getting Started
It's easy! Have your son or daughter try a private introductory class with one
of our instructors. Afterwards, you'll have a consultation to discuss goals,
scheduling and our programs. Tuition for our programs ranges from $13 - $26 per
class, depending upon the location, program and plan selected.
It's that simple! Call 818 704 0606

Dear Mr. Azhakh
Far too often people only write to complain about some service, product or
employee that has not met their needs. It is with much pleasure that I write
this brief letter to commend you and your staff for the excellent training,
teamwork and knowledge that you impart on our children.
All of your instructors are absolutely great with the kids but I would like
to give special recognition to Mr. Shervin who seems to have a special ability
to relate to all of his kids especially our Nickolas. He is firm, yet
understanding. He knows just how far to push his students and when to back off.
His ability to communicate on all levels and natural understanding of the child
psychology makes him a natural for the position. I hope that he will be with you
for a long time for he is a asset to your organization and we believe the reason
Nickolas has stuck with your program.
Sincerely,
Michael C. Risher

TKC has helped my son in many ways by not turning him away and making him feel unwanted like so many other groups have in the past. I think Logan feels like he has a place where he is a part of. I truely believe that this is not only a business of teaching karate for profit but a group of people that God has brought together that care about all his special children. Thank you TKC. I know you have improved my son's self esteem and mended a small part of his heart. The future is yet to be seen but I believe that most important of all is that TKC will be able to contribute in some way to saving his life.

Over all my experience is awesome. I love all the instructors. The black belt test, the people involved, and the studio has really affected my life. Karate is an amazing thing and thank you Mr. Fariborz for everything, achieving my black belt would not have been possible with you. I love you!

Dear Mr. Fariborz,
I wanted to take a moment to thank you for all that you have done for Devyn. I am certain you are aware of how much she loves your studio, staff and Karate and how committed she is to the program.
Your kindness and generosity is a true gift and I hope you know how much it is valued. I know your investment in Devyn will benefit us all. Thank you so very much.
With admiration, appreciation and respect and love.

Dear Mr. Azhakh,
Every time I look in our son’s room, I see the display of the nine belts,
including the black belt, which our son Michael earn through training at your
facility. It reminds me of the of the wonderful times I spent several years ago,
going to classes with Michael and watching him grow and learn. Not only did
Michael learn many defensive moves, how to fall correctly, and several different
kicks and Hapkido moves, you and your teachers helped to instill in him the
values and ideas which we can now see reflected in the excellence of his school
work.
Michael always strives for excellence in everything he dose. The last two
years, he’s brought brought home straight “A” report cards. Last month, he had
his Bar-Mitzvah, and has started completing some of the five-year goals which he
set up for himself.
Certainly, my husband and I are tow very proud parents of a wonderful child. I
believe that the training which he received at the Team Karate Center helped him
to become the great child who he is today, and the great adult that he will be
in the future.
Thank you for being an important part in our Family’s lives.
Sincerely,
|
