My 1st Degree Black Belt:

As long as I could remember my culture has always influenced me and has been an important part of my life. Culture has helped me though out all my accomplishments. It has taught me to appreciate life and what I have. Being raised in a middle class family I have be very fortunate and lucky. For example, I have had the opportunity to attend a private Muslim schooling and join Team Karate Centers. Though out my life I have been learning new skills and learning how to apply it to daily life activities. One of my important accomplishments has been joining Team Karate Centers. It has changed my life in whole new way.
Another factor of my life is that is also very important to me is school. School has been challenging though out third grade. Yet I have learned to overcome my weaknesses in school. For example, English and math have been difficult for me but with extra help from outside factors like Kumon has helped me improve my skills. Eventually I became very interested in sports. My family and friends encouraged me to join Karate.
When I was in second grade I saw my friend Noah do karate at Tkc and I decided to try it once. It was the best choice I have made so far in my life. Like my culture Karate had taught me discipline. And Ive been going to Tkc ever since I was 6 years old.
I have been training many years at Tkc and worked very hard to get to this point in my life. Now that I have reached this point in my life I would like thank Mr. Ash and Mr. Fariborz for great this great experience that I will never forgot in my life.

My Mission Statement

I will maintain a life style that I set a goal and achieve by setting deadline. I will get my 2nd degree in two years after receiving my 1st degree. I will be a teacher assistant at TKC after Mr. Fariborzs approval. Most importantly, I will learn from the best and teach to the best once I know my entire curriculum 100% step by step and fold by fold. I will make sure I put more effort to my school work and studies. I will be graduated from Kumon learning center with college level math, and 12th grade English level in less than three years. Getting my black belt is a great experience in my life. Therefore, as I grow up I want to study and educate myself to become a better person, a responsible and respectful person.

My Essays

Achieving a black belt takes a lot of dedication and determinism. I believe that I deserve to receive a black belt because I have dedicated myself to karate for six years. There were times were things got very changeling however, I managed not to give up and keeping striving. Also, during all class sessions I have always been on time and have tried not to miss any class sessions. I have kept my grades up and tried very hard to get at this point in my life and all my teachers are proud of me including my family. I deserve a black belt because it will make me a stronger and an independent person. I have learned to overcome my weaknesses by learning to apply what I have learned from my instructors. For example, I took private lessons with Mr. T which taught me to practice because perfect practice makes perfect.
Moreover, I deserve a black belt because I take great honor and pride in my work and because I have learned from the best teachers. In addition, most importantly I have become a healthier and fit individual. Working out is a great way to stay active in life therefore, I would be very grateful to receive a black belt. A black belt will allow me to progress further in life. Therefore, receiving a black belt will be a great accomplishment for my parents and my most importantly to me! I would like to thank all of instructors who have helped me, been patient with me and who have taught me valuable lessons for karate and for life

A black belt means to train hard, to be humble and not to complain. A black belt can be achieved in spite of any weakness one may have. One important factor of a black belt is how one may face or overcome ones own personal difficulties. A black belt gives great honor and recognition to ones family, friends, and masters. A black belt will enable me to become self-disciplined and independent. I will learn not to always rely on my parents or others but take responsibility for my own actions. Moreover, a black belt allows one to become positivity competitive with others, both in class in outside of class. A candidate for a black belt needs to realize the belt is not as important as the lessons learned along the way. The lessons learned in class are meaningful and useful for life and harmful situations.
A black does not mean to show off and bully others for no reason. It means to learn how to defend and protect yourself. A strong black belt stands up for himself and a stronger black belt stands up for others. Karate has taught me to relax and clam myself in a ferrous situations. A black belt means pride and courage. It will be an honor to succeed and achieve a black belt because it means a lot to me and my family. A black belt teaches me to try harder and not to give up on myself.

My Letters of Recommendations

To Whom It May Concern:
I teach Farhads language arts and history. In recent months I have seen him show a much greater interest in his school work he readily participates in class discussions and asks for help when needed. He has become attentive and is no longer easily distracted in class. Farhad has grown in his ability to be organized.
Farhads humor and cheerful disposition have earned him many friends among his peers. His elders find him cooperative and always willing to give assistance when he can.
The self-discipline taught by karate has greatly benefited Farhad. I hope that he continues to advance in the martial arts.

To: Master Fariborz Azhakh:
I strongly recommend Black Belt for Farhad Ahmadyar as a parent for several reasons. I want my son to take this advantage and honor of becoming a Black Belt in order for him to be ready for his life adventure. I want him to learn how to be tough, learn self discipline, self confident, respect, and self defense. Farhad is our only child I do not have my family around. They live in different countries which makes it hard for me to visit them and have him to get to know them. I consider TKC our family where my son could see great examples, trains learns, and grows up. He already grew out of two uniform sizes. I want to see him a successful educated martial artist. Another reason why I and my husband put Farhad in karate is that he is very emotional. We want him to have control over his emotions. Also, he has a very good sense of humor, but I want him to be serous in life. He is a very good kid, but after some difficulties that our marriage faced and the negative effect I seen in him not taking school serous at all. But he loved karate. I used to say if you do not do well in school no more karate, or I will talk to Mr. Ash. Yes, that was working and now with help of God he is doing well in school and his attitude has changed. My concerns are for him to be independent and responsible. For example, I have to remind him to do everything. He needs to manage his time. I am working on it and I made a white board chart that says his weekly schedule. As you Mr. Fariborz say, 1st Degree, you get the ticket for the game. That is right I see him work hard to get that ticket. I as a parent wish not only for my own son, but for all the kids to take advantage of this great opportunity to learn and use the wisdom for the rest of their lives by making good choices. This is their first step to know what commitment is and how to commit to it.
Thank you
Mariam Ahmadyar

Dear Madam/Sir
I would like to take this opportunity to recommend Farhad Ahmadyar for the consideration of the black belt at your martial arts studio.
As Farhads teacher for the past two years, I noticed that he was very hardworking and very committed to his work. He is very enthusiastic and motivated and I found him to be an intelligent, responsible, and organized young man. Naturally, I must bring attention to the consistently good academic performance of Farhad during his course of study. He was never one to move on without being sure of his fundamentals.
It has been my privilege to have a student like Farhad in my class. I wish him great success in his future and am glad to know that he is succeeding in other aspects of his life as well. I recommend him fully and would be happy to discuss his candidature further.
Sincerely,
